What is the CentralID?
CentralID is an identification given to students, faculty, and staff members who wish to use the following WVU services/systems:
- community.wvu.edu (Web hosting service)
- software.systems.wvu.edu (SSH, Netscape and other software that is WVU specific)
- centralid.wvu.edu (Used to check your web quota and other functions related to your account, like changing your password.)
- enod.wvu.edu (Used for WVU employees to see their electronic notice of deposit.)
- etd.wvu.edu (Electronic Theses and Dissertations)
- ideas.wvu.edu (Business Intelligence)
The CentralID userid is in the form of fml### where the f is the first letter of your first name, m is the first letter of your middle name if you have one, and the l is the first letter of your last name. The ### is a sequence number, based on how many other people have the same combination of initials.
As long as your are currently a full time student, faculty or staff member it will be valid. The day you withdraw, graduate, no longer enrolled in a future term or cease employment at WVU it will be disabled.
