Spam messages are unsolicited e-mails, generally sent in bulk, and are the equivalent of electronic junk mail. Most spam is deceptive commercial advertising, trying to interest the recipient in what are often fraudulent products or services.
The WVU Office of Information Technology employs extensive measures to reduce the volume of spam targeting our systems. Additionally, users can follow best practices to minimize the amount of spam they receive.
